With promotion becoming more complex and strategic, many performance marketers have made Facebook Business Manager their preferred home for ads creation, targeting, bidding, and more. Staying in step with the current trends and needs of these marketers, we have decided to sunset the boosting functionality available in the Socialbakers platform.
With the release week from October 26th, 2020, boosting functionality is no longer available across Analytics, Publisher, Community, and Settings (Profile Roles).
What is post boosting?
When you publish posts on a Facebook page, the ‘Boost Post’ button enables you to create a Facebook ad. Boosting a post from your business page allows you to show your content to an audience that might find it appealing and also to stand out in a saturated Facebook News Feed.
Similar boosting functionality has also been available to users of Socialbaker, found in Analytics (From Performance Prediction), Publisher (From the Sent Feed), Community (From the Sent Feed), and Settings (Profile Roles).
Boosting in Analytics (From Performance Prediction)
Boosting is no longer an action you can take in Analytics from the "Focus On" section in Performance Prediction. You can still leverage Performance Prediction content grading insights across the platform, including in Analytics, Dashboard, and Content Hub to understand patterns of engagement on your content and do more of what's working. Boosting in Publisher (From the Sent Feed)
Boosting is no longer an action you can take in Publisher from the Sent feed.
Boosting in Community (From the Sent Feed)
Boosting is no longer an action you can take in Publisher from the Sent feed.
Boosting Permissions in Settings (Profile Roles)
Boosting is no longer an option when defining Profile Role permissions for Publisher in Settings.
