Search Comments or Direct Messages by Username
Easily Track Conversations With Specific Users
Community managers rejoice! Building relationships with your community is becoming an even more natural part of your workflow. To identify comments or direct messages from a particular user, you can now search for names or usernames. Analyze conversations and keep track of what a user is posting across all channels. To make the most out of it, you can search for DMs and comments by user in three ways:
- In the Community module, type any name/username into the search field. This will show all conversations across your feeds.
- Alternatively, choose a specific comment, click View Whole Thread. Then, type the name/username into the search field, and in an instant, you’ll see all threads with the user.
- If you want to go one step further and create a specific feed that automatically filters all comments and DMs by a user, click on Filter and type the name/username into the search field.
Searching for comments and direct messages by users is a fast and easy way to improve relationships with your community. It lets you understand the context of conversations without having to scroll through your feeds – giving your fingertips their well-deserved beauty rest.
